ACC Tournament Documentary To Air On ESPNU

The Atlantic Coast Conference and Barclays Center teamed up for the second time in early March for the New York Life ACC Tournament, and basketball fans now have a chance to re-live some of the most memorable moments and get a first-hand look at what went on behind the scenes.

“Big City, Bright Lights: The 2018 New York Life ACC Tournament”  debuts on ESPNU on Tuesday, June 5 at 5 p.m.

Mets Select Kelenic With 6th Overall Pick In MLB Draft

The Mets have selected outfielder Jarred Kelenic from Waukesha West High School (WI) with the sixth overall pick in the first-round of the 2018 First-Year Player Draft.

Kelenic, 18, was listed by Baseball America as the best high school hitter in the draft with the third-best strike-zone discipline by a prep player. He graduated from High School one semester early to focus on the draft.

Lampard, Formerly Of NYCFC, Takes Over Derby County In England

Frank Lampard, a legend at Chelsea who finished his career with New York City Football Club, has been named the Derby County manager.

Derby County is in the Coca Cola Championship in England, one level below the English Premier League. They finished in sixth place, earning a spot in the playoffs for promotion to the EPL, and they lost to Fulham.

Mustapha Heron Transfers To St. John’s From Auburn

The St. John’s Red Storm men’s basketball program has received a commitment from highly-touted transfer Mustapha Heron, who comes to Queens after two seasons at Auburn.

The 2018 Second Team All-SEC selection must complete one full academic year of residency before competing for the Red Storm per NCAA requirements, but he is expected to apply for a hardship waiver in order to gain immediate eligibility.

NYCFC, Led By Ismael Double, Downs Orlando City

New York City Football Club shutout Orlando City FC, 3-0, on Saturday night at Yankee Stadium.

Ismael Tajouri-Shradi led the way with a pair of goals for NYCFC, who improved to 8-3-3, with 27 points on the season.

With the win, NYCFC is now back in second place in the Eastern Conference, just two points behind Atlanta United FC.

Revolution Run Past Red Bulls

The Red Bulls lost to the New England Revolution, 2-1, on Saturday night.

This ends the Red Bulls’ five-game unbeaten streak, and their record drops to 7-1-4, with 22 points. They are now in fifth place in the Eastern Conference, seven points behind Atlanta United FC for first place with two games in hand.
