The Nets and Entercom, the nation’s unrivaled leader in sports radio, have reached a new multi-year agreement that extends the team’s broadcast rights with WFAN Sports Radio through the 2020-21 season.
These broadcast rights include airing regular season and any postseason games. In addition, WFAN will continue to be the home of the Nets in-depth pre-and-post-game coverage for all contests broadcast on the station.

The Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association (MBWA) awarded St. John’s sophomore Shamorie Ponds with the Haggerty Award presented annually to New York City’s collegiate player of the year.
Ponds becomes the 23rd player in St. John’s history, including the third Red Storm player in the last five years to receive the award named in honor of St. John’s basketball and baseball star Lieutenant Frank J. Haggerty.
Tony Skinn, who played on the George Mason team that went to the Final Four in 2006, has been named an assistant coach on the Seton Hall men’s basketball staff
Skinn comes to Seton Hall with a wealth of coaching experience at multiple levels of basketball, most recently spending three seasons as an assistant coach at Louisiana Tech.

Yankees right fielder Aaron Judge hit 52 home runs last season on his way to winning the American League Rookie of the Year award unanimously and came in second in the race for Most Valuable Player.
The questions going into this season were how would Judge follow that up?

Kassoum Yakwe announced Thursday that he will not be returning to the St. John’s men’s basketball program for the 2018-19 season.
The junior from Bamako, Mali is on track to earn his bachelor’s degree this summer, and he will pursue transfer opportunities for his final collegiate season.

The Duke Blue Devils, the second seed in the Midwest regional, will be taking on the Cinderella team of the tournament, the Syracuse Orange, who are the 11th seed and upset Michigan State last Sunday to get here, on Friday night in Omaha.
This unexpected matchup pits two legendary coaches, as Duke’s Coach K, Mike Krzyzewski, will face off against Syracuse’s Jim Boeheim.
