The New York Islanders opened their training camp at Barclays Center, their future home. The Islanders logo was at center ice and their four Stanley Cup championship banners were hanging from the rafters in a hint of what it will be like when they move here in 2015.

They will play the first-ever hockey game in Brooklyn when they take on the Devils in an exhibition game on Saturday, September 21st at 7:00 pm.

There are no seats in one end of the ice since the arena was not built for hockey. It seemed like there is room that they can add some temporary seats, and hopefully that will be solved when the Islanders arrive in 2015.
