The Red Bulls suffered a dispiriting 3-1 loss to the Los Angeles Galaxy on Sunday night at Red Bull Arena, one their head coach, Jesse Marsch termed “the worst performance since I’ve been here at Red Bull at home.”
The Galaxy got on the board just eight minutes in when Romain Alessandrini took a free kick from the right side, and bounced it past Red Bulls goaltender Luis Robles. The key to the play was Jelle Van Damme appeared to tip it, which may have fooled Robles, but hew actually never made contact with it.

The 2018 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic will feature the Rangers taking on the Buffalo Sabres on January 1, 2018 at Citi Field, home of the New York Mets.
“The Winter Classic made its debut under snowy Buffalo skies in 2008, and we look forward to celebrating the 10th anniversary of that landmark event by matching the Sabres with their intrastate rivals, the New York Rangers, in the 2018 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic at Citi Field,” NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman said on Tuesday when the announcement was made. “With New York City as its host, the renewal of our New Year’s tradition will continue to inspire hockey memories for our clubs, our players and our fans.”

The Ecuador and El Salvador national teams will play at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey on Tuesday, June 13, 2017.

New York City FC will host a series of Academy Talent ID Evaluations for players looking to join the U12-U19 boys teams.
Registration is open now for the May and June evaluations which will take place in Queens.
Interested players must register to be in consideration to participate.
Registering does not guarantee participation. If selected to participate, applicants will be notified via email with further instructions.

The Red Bulls fell to the Philadelphia Union, 3-0 on Saturday night at Talen Energy Stadium in Chester, Pa., as C.J. Sapong recorded a hat trick in the final 15 minutes to give Philadelphia the big win.
The game was scoreless into the 75th minute, until Sapong capitalized on a loose ball in the Red Bulls’ defensive third and beat Luis Robles to put the Union up 1-0. Sapong followed up with goals in the 81st and 85th minutes, completing the hat trick on a penalty.
