The Ecuador and El Salvador national teams will play at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey on Tuesday, June 13, 2017.
Both teams will be in preparation of important tournament dates, as Ecuador prepares for CONMEBOL World Cup qualification matches against Brazil and Peru in August and early September, while El Salvador readies for the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup in July.
Ecuador, who competed in Group E of the 2014 FIFA World Cup with France, Switzerland and Honduras, are coached by Gustavo Quinteros. Quinteros earned 26 international caps as a defender for Bolivia and became the manager of Ecuador in the Spring of 2015. La Tri are led by Antonio Valencia (Manchester United), Jefferson Montero (Swansea City) and Enner Valencia (Everton). Ecuador have previously appeared at Red Bull Arena in 2010 and 2011.
El Salvador, who have qualified twice for the World Cup and most recently the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup, are coached by Eduardo Lara. La Selecta are captained by Darwrin Ceren (San Jose Earthquakes). Rodolfo Zelaya (Alianza) currently sits tied for third all-time in team history with 19 goals.
